The Fernald is one of Waltham's last remaining developable areas. The group has been active since 2003.
The aim of the FWG is to ensure that changes on the site are planned with community input in a way that will benefit the residents of the City of Waltham now and in the future. FWG members include the Waltham Land Trust, WATCH CDC, the LEague of Women Voters, neighbors, and other interested individuals. The Fernald Working Group is supported by Metro West Collaborative Development, a non-profit community development corporation.
