We’re already planning for 2027 Hoosier Roots Live — and we’re looking for knowledgeable, engaging guests to join us!
Hoosier Roots Live is our hour-long YouTube Live series created to help family historians discover new research strategies, resources, and stories connected to Indiana genealogy.
Programs are normally held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Eastern, with a break during the summer months.
For 2027, we’re looking for guest speakers who can help researchers working to uncover their Indiana roots. Topics might include:
• Indiana records and repositories
• Research methods and problem-solving strategies
• Migration and settlement patterns
• Cemetery, military, church, land, or court records
• DNA and technology for genealogy
• Writing and preserving family stories
• Indiana communities, ethnic groups, and local history
• Unique resources that can help break through research roadblocks
