Today, as Amnesty International marks its 65th anniversary, we also celebrate the courage and commitment of individuals and organizations who continue to defend human rights in the Philippines. ✊🏽
The for Human Rights was born not only to recognize their bravery, but also as a pushback against the persistent demonization, harassment, and silencing of human rights defenders. At a time when standing for people’s rights is often met with attacks and disinformation, Ignite Awards affirms that defending human rights is never a crime, but it is an act of courage, solidarity, and hope.
