Exciting News and Ministry Direction for 2025 and Beyond

The Peter’s Place Foundation Board of Directors has made an important decision regarding our annual 5K run/walk event. While we have traditionally hosted this event each October, we will not be holding it in 2025. Instead, we are excited to share that we are shifting our focus to a new and impactful direction for our ministry.

After much prayer and thoughtful discussion, the Board has recognized an urgent need: young men in recovery need support now—we cannot afford to wait. Given the current housing market, the time we've already spent fundraising, and the foundation’s existing assets, it has become clear that continuing to pursue our original long-term capital goals would delay our ability to make a meaningful impact.

In response, we are pivoting in our mission to act more immediately. While plans are still being finalized, our new direction includes using our current resources to directly sponsor young men in recovery or to provide grants to organizations that are aligned with our mission. These grants will be awarded based on application criteria established by the Board.

We believe this shift will allow us to make a tangible difference more quickly. Additionally, we plan to share stories and testimonials from those impacted by our support, using their voices to inspire others and help us grow future funding.

Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward with this exciting new chapter.
