South Llano River State Park - Texas Parks and Wildlife offered so many perks to members.
We checked out hiking and night sky bags with guides to identify our flora, fauna and stars.
We checked out fishing rods and tackle.
While some used the tubes rented on site, others took advantage of water color hour and bird watching.
Then, even our older girls got to participate in the junior ranger program.

The next trip open to our troop and other Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas young ladies is to London/Paris June 2027!

This will be an amazing opportunity for some of our girls that started in Kinder with the troop.

There will a pinning and bridging ceremony at Pax Lodge!

Get ready for the game with tagalong dip! Get the recipe here from our friends at Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana

Ingredients:

9 Tagalongs, crushed
6 oz. vanilla yogurt
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup salted peanuts
Pretzels, apple slices or graham crackers

Equipment:
Medium mixing bowl
Mixing spoon

Directions:
1. Mix ingredients:
Combine yogurt, crushed Tagalongs, peanut butter, chocolate chips and salted peanuts in a medium bowl and mix until combined. Mix in a food processor for a smoother dip if desired.

2. Garnish and serve:
Top with a Tagalongs cookie and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Serve with pretzels, apple slices, or graham crackers. Enjoy!
