Christians For Education Our aim is to positively contribute to the Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Well-Being of Schools and Colleges in the Conwy to Prestatyn Area

Christians for Education evolved from the existing College Ministry known as the North Wales College Project and a proposed initiative called ‘CYFF’ which is an abbreviation for ‘Christ is the Way’ in Welsh (Crist Ywr Fford). The main idea behind CYFF was to establish Christian Union groups in High Schools to run alongside existing groups in the Colleges. This stemmed from the need to create a spr

ing-board for young people leaving High Schools to the daunting world of College Life. Establishing Christian Unions in High Schools would strengthen the faith of the young people, encourage a stronger Christian witness in the Schools, enhance preparation for the potential challenges and joys of being within a Christian Community in College and provide a transitional link from school to college. After recognising the need to establish High School Christian Unions alongside College ones, the need for a more Holistic Approach was identified. The Holistic Approach was instigated by three recently retired Senior teachers in the North Wales area who joined forces with individuals already involved with the North Wales College Project to conjure up innovative and Holistic ways of taking the vision forward. This fusion led to the formation of Christians for Education (C4E). This coalition decided the initiative will cover the Rhos-on-Sea to Prestatyn area of North Wales. Christians for Education exists to support Schools and Colleges through the Local Christian Community. C4E will focus on the Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Well-Being of Schools and Colleges from the Rhos-on-Sea to the Prestatyn area. The Holistic Approach will feature services such as School Assemblies, the establishment of Christian Unions, Lessons, Workshops, Church visits and support for tutors, families and individual children.

Let's ask God to bless this little rural school and all connected to it. Let's especially pray for the headteacher, Mrs Laura Martin, as she moves on to Ysgol Penmorfa. Let's pray for the appointment of the new head, that the right person would be appointed and would settle in quickly.

Let's pray for a smooth transition for the children moving on to high school and pray that the staff and pupils who remain at the school would have a restful holiday and not be anxious about the changes that will come in the new year.

Can't wait to see you all there! All welcome 😊

Let's ask wisdom for school leadership as they struggle with budget constraints amd let's bless every teacher, member of staff and volunteer as they contribute to the school community on a daily basis, equipping every child with the tools they need to flourish in life.

Let's especially pray for strength for the families who are raising children with Additional Learning Needs, that they would know God's presence guiding them and filling them with hope and joy.

Our High School of the week is Glan Clwyd. There was a great response from them to the Message Trust event. Let's pray that seeds sown (in the staff as well as pupils) are watered and not snatched away and that those who made decisions would pursue a relationship with Jesus. Let's particularly pray for great conversations with the chaplain, Ryan and a blessing over him in all his work.

Let's also pray for those taking exams, that they wouldn't be overly anxious and would have success!

It's half term but let's pray for all the staff, pupils and volunteers at Ysgol St George this week. Let's pray they have a blessed week off and that the teachers come back refreshed and ready for the last half term and that the Year 6 enjoy the last few weeks of primary school. Let's pray for a smooth transition to whichever high school they go to next.

St George is a church school and calls itself a 'caring Christian community'. Let's pray that the Christian input stays with every single child and family and that they choose to walk in God's ways for their whole lives.

This week let's pray for St David's College, Llandudno. Let's pray that the Christian ethos remains strong and that pupils have the opportunity to explore, or strengthen, their Christian faith. Let's pray for those taking exams that they would not be overly anxious and would be successful. Let's pray blessing over all the staff and their families. As St David's has particular provision for those with dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalulia and dysgraphia, let's ask that those pupils would overcome these barriers and be able to flourish.

Great day at the Scripture Union Regional Gathering in Bala on Saturday. It was lovely to meet people who are passionate about reaching the young people of Wales and fun to meet Rhian and Jack in person! C4E are proud to be Local Mission Partners with Scripture Union and thankful for all they do.

This week let's pray for Ysgol John Bright. Let's pray that the school is blessed and sees success this exam season. Let's pray for that the input that Llandudno Youth for Christ have there would have an impact and bear lasting fruit. Let's pray that Christian pupils and staff would be able to share their faith sensitively and effectively.

Let's also pray that stress levels would be manageable as we head through exams and towards the end of the year. We especially pray for pupils moving on from the school and for those who will arrive in September.
