Join us tomorrow, Saturday 10th October, for the Greensted Church Loop, part of St Peter’s Church, Shelley’s Shelley Loops walking series!

Starting at 9.30am, this lovely 10km countryside walk takes us from St Peter’s Church to the historic St Andrew’s Church in Greensted, via Penson’s Lane, before returning alongside Cripsey Brook.

The walk takes approximately 2½ hours and is a great opportunity to enjoy the local countryside, discover some of our area's history and spend time outdoors.

Everyone is welcome, including dogs! Please wear suitable footwear and remember that this is a self-guided walk.

Join us for our One Big Family Harvest Festival at St Martin’s Church, Chipping Ongar, on Sunday 4 October at 10:30am.

We’ll be celebrating Harvest, giving thanks for God’s creation and collecting non-perishable food donations for local food charity 3Food4U.

If you can, please bring along an item to donate.

Refreshments will be served after the service, and everyone is welcome.

🥾 Pilgrimage Walk – Tomorrow!

Join us after our morning service for a pilgrimage through the beautiful Essex countryside from St Martin’s, Chipping Ongar to All Saints, Norton Mandeville.

We’ll set off shortly after 11.30am, walking across the fields to St Mary’s, High Ongar, where we’ll stop for a packed lunch.

Don’t fancy the whole walk? You can join us or leave us at St Mary’s – we won’t be setting off from there until at least 1.30pm.

From High Ongar we’ll continue across the fields to Norton Mandeville, arriving in plenty of time for Open-Air Evensong at 3pm.

You’re also very welcome to skip the walking altogether and drive straight to Norton Mandeville for Evensong.

And perhaps most importantly… tea and cake afterwards! ☕🍰
