Color Manila's thrust is to give color and HopE. Color Manila's HOP-E stands for Help Overcome Poverty Through Education. We are a group of social entrepreneurs who launched an advocacy... one that started with a simple desire to help one scavenger have a better life. Color Manila's HOP-E uses creative and innovative strategies that encourage private companies, groups and individuals to take a pro
-active stand in helping the community. It stands by its vision and mission to bring hope with education as its primary tool. Through one's donations to child sponsorship programs, one can help send a child to school - enabling one to "hop over" poverty through education. Through companies' Corporate Social Responsibility programs, Color Manila's HOP-E serves as a channel of resources to people who need and deserve the support. Color Manila's HOP-E currently serves 220 children in 3 schools (one of which is a bamboo school). Child sponsorship programs are a blessing as the small amount of $150-250 USD can already fund a child's schooling for one year. We also currently employ 35 families in the HOP-E community, either as teachers, workers or Tour volunteers. Together with its partners worldwide, Color Manila's HOP-E continues to be a witness to countless miracles in the lives of the people in its communities. Hope is once again alive and children's dreams are slowly but surely becoming a reality. A famous author once wrote, "In the trinity of graces - faith, hope and love - love may be the greatest but hope plays the deciding role. It tells us that faith and love depend on hope, our anticipation for what lies ahead. Without hope, faith becomes mechanical and love is just another chore to do. Our hearts cannot live without hope." Color Manila's HOP-E primarily exists as a beacon of hope, reminding us that our goal is not to "provide for your own body and save your own soul", but to "do what you can to make this world a better place for all!"
