This town continues to amaze us each and every day!! 🍎🎄

We cannot thank you enough for your support! Snowflake Square - The Giving Shop has helped so many Murphysboro families because of the love and support of this community. Since Snowflake Square was started, we have helped provide for nearly 500 Murphysboro children. This wouldn’t have been possible without the financial and item donations we received from individuals and businesses this year.

We watched as thankful moms, dads and grandparents excitedly picked out presents they just knew their child would love. Thank you for helping make that possible! Thank you for helping us help our Murphysboro neighbors. This shop, and what you’ve helped us accomplish the last 6 years, is what we’re most proud of. The tree lighting, the breakfast, the cookies, the decorations and lights - they’re all amazing. However, this outreach, and the meaning behind it, is why we started Murphysboro Hometown Christmas. Giving back to our community and the town that we love so very much. Our hearts are full and we hope yours are too. ❤️

🎄🎅🏼 Who is ready for another fun filled day full of memories to be made?!?

We are starting our day with our SOLD OUT Breakfast with Santa sponsored by Samron Midwest Contracting starting at 9am.

Next, head over to Carl Lee Park from noon-2pm to see Santa in his cottage and meet one of his reindeer! Santa’s cottage is sponsored by Wright Building Center. Reindeer in the park is sponsored by Heartland Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing.

Finally, end your day with a FREE showing of “A Christmas Story” at the The Liberty Theater sponsored by PLP Battery Supply and Prairie Living at Chautauqua. Doors open at 1pm and the movie starts at 2pm.

Join us tonight for a FREE drive-in showing of “The Grinch” at the Murphysboro American Legion! Thank you to Southern Illinois Tourism for sponsoring this event!

Enjoy the true drive-in experience. Bring your family and friends and watch The Grinch from the warmth of your car while listening over your car radio! Gates open at 5:30pm. The American Legion Murphysboro POST 127 will have the back room open and will be selling food and hot chocolate (the menu is below), so bring your appetites! Popcorn will also be free to all attendees plus a special treat for the kids!

It may be cold outside but we think tonight may grow your heart three sizes! 💚💚💚
