Established in 2010, we are a social enterpise working across Greater Manchester (and sometimes beyond!) to alleviate hunger, increase food security and foster a love of cooking from scratch in a diverse range of communities. Sustainability and inclusivity are at the heart of all of our work, which includes:
- Regular cookery school across a huge range of cuisines classes in Didsbury
- Foragi
ng expeditions in Manchester, Macclesfield and Hebden Bridge
- Team Building activities
- Catering service
- Community cookery workshops and events
- Holiday Food & Activity Fund (HAF) food and activity provision
- Community food and cooking support projects
- Basic Food Hygiene Level 2 training days
As a social enterprise, the fees for our paid-for activities help to support our community support work. We work collaberatively with a huge range of community partners such as Housing Associations, charities, leisure providers, Local Authorities, food clubs, pantry schemes, church groups and homeless prevention hostels to deliver our work. We are also active members of Good Food Greater Manchester and the Greater Manchester Food Security Action Network to help strategise and campaign for a fairer food system for all.
