It deeply saddens me to make this announcement. Mr. Joey Roberts has passed away. He was the co-founder of this group and an irreplaceable part of this project. His love, passion, and dedication for the lake boeuf area should be commended. He will be dearly missed. Bowie cannel has been blocked ON both ends for months now , blocked bad enough to not let any water through water is nasty it has been sitting so long , why want the parish do anything to fix this , what is the reason we can not get anything done to fix these blockages , this is not just happen it has been there a while , parish stop talking about it and do some thing !

Ok people the bayou from the boat launch in Choctaw to the lake is no better off today than it was 3 years ago , it is very fast becoming very danger to drive in it anymore , there is some many trees down , in it there has been lots and lots of boats damaged due to hitting logs - trees that are hung up ( under the water level ) and the blockages are so many to count , they are NOT moving , hung up on crap that should be removed , O but our public elected ones don’t do a dam thing , talk talk , point fingers , o it this dept’s job ,, spent 300 thousand $ to clean the bayou went the wrong way , not a dime spent going to lake , this crap is out of hand , not one will step up and do anything , from the state on down , someone is going to get hurt very bad if things don’t change and soon . I don’t care who or what dept it is but one of them needs to get off this kicker O it not my job , o we don’t have $$$ or try call this person , this is bs it has been going on way to dam long , o they will tell us it cause of this or that why that can’t or want clean it , they leave it up to the people who try to use the bayou to move blockages or remove logs , why they get our tax $ where is it going , Not on fixing this ,, This should not be left up to a few people to try getting help , our bayou is a forgotten chore

Texted our councilmen Adams to see if any word on getting the ruling back from the State Att. Gen . On who can draft the lake bouef game & fish commission , it has not been sent back to him yet , he saying , last time I , we (him ) checked with their office and Rep. Bryan we was told it left her desk to pass it to the WL&F to put their input on it , Tee Boo says he has called every month to check on it but no answer thats where it stands as this week

Ok for those who have been asking me where does the game & fish commission being created stand , here is what I have been told as of 1-30 -25 . There is more moving parts , more state & local parish dept’s and more elected officials that are involved with it , I have spent my morning Talk to all involved they have got some answers and their hands are tied till it is sent back to them , the ruling has been made and there is still a few more hoops to jump through yet , but it is moving ,so don’t give up , there is so many moving parts to this more than we got fish in the lake

As many of you know the mission to make lake boeuf great again is at a stall. Unfortunately we’re still waiting on politicians. However the guys over at Responsible Angler’s United are not. They are in full swing ready to start the bounce back. Please check out the page and see what it’s all about. The first annual fundraiser will be February 8th. The details are on their page and tickets are available on line or at the door. As we continue to work towards the habitat side of things Mr. Steve Dufrene will spear head the bass population rebound. Please help if you can so our kids and grandkids can enjoy the same resources we all have!!

Ok need to find out if you people think it is worth pushing for the forming of the lake bouef game and fish commission , it has been almost 6 months since the parish gov. Sent a letter to the state att, gen. Office on a ruling for who can draw up the commission , i am starting to the feeling it has slipped off the chart of things to get done , there is so many thing that that lake needs done to help it , but we can not do a thing to help it rebound ( no voice ) i myself thought by now we would have been formed or heard something , or got some kind of news , if any of you have pull with anyone , please use it , there is something going on with that lake again it is on the decline , we have no way of finding out what is up grass is declining fishing is on the down side , it sure looks like the lake is on it own , There is a group trying to restock the lakes , hope it works there is a much needed restocking needed , i just hope this new year is not the same , we need our leaders to step up ,
