** Who we are:
A veteran owned/operated, 501(C)(3) nonprofit disaster assistance charity that has two mission types, long haul deployments and local deployments.
** Long haul deployments are to the Mid-Atlantic Region (sometimes beyond depending on need & logistics) for hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, building collapse, mass fire, terror attack, debris fields, landslides, earthquakes and more. A
fter delivering supplies to shelters or drop off sites the QRF will also, at the direction of local authorities remain on scene to help in a variety of ways such as pitching in at shelters, manning road closures or by helping authorities with search and rescue for victims trapped in debris fields and high water.
** Local Deployments: Here at home on the Eastern Shore, of the Delmarva Peninsula, the QRF will assist with the same disaster types as listed above, as well as, at the request of local law enforcement, be utilized as an extra locating tool and assist with: Autism / special needs walk-offs, roadside evidence searches, wooded evidence searches, critically missing people such as Amber alerts (missing endangered children), Silver alerts (missing endangered elderly), as well as local school / community group talks on the dangers of illegal drug use, drug possession, as well as the current drug trafficking trends, in an effort to keep school staff, parents and communities more aware and able to recognize and identify the dangers of illicit drugs, like heroin and fentanyl poisoning our communities .
** Funding:
We are funded by small grants, local fundraisers, but donations from the public and local organizations/businesses is what primarily drives the Quick Reaction Force Inc. and our capabilities to assist those in need with perhaps one of the toughest tragedies they will ever face.
