The Ilocos Norte College of Arts and Trades (INCAT) proudly held its Science Month 2025 Culminating Program at the INCAT Hostel, a celebration that brought together students, teachers, and special guests in honor of innovation, excellence, and environmental stewardship.
The program opened with an Invocation led by Frince Cathara O. Raceli, Grade 11 YES-O Representative, followed by the singing of the National Anthem led by Aihca Angela Cacayorin, YES-O Auditor
To formally set the tone of the program, Dr. Virgillio Ericson G. Baptista, Head Teacher VI of the Science and Math Department, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the significance of science not only as a subject but also as a tool for shaping a sustainable future. An inspirational message was then shared by Mrs. Shirley C. Agsunod, School Principal IV.
The highlight of the event was the presence of the guest speaker, Mrs. Flenie A. Galicinao, Education Program Supervisor in Science of DepEd Laoag City and Officer-in-Charge of Fariรฑas Science High School. Mrs. Galicinao delivered an empowering speech that encouraged the youth to embrace science as a way of life and to take part in advancing innovation while caring for the environment.
The program also included the Pledge of Commitment, led by YES-O Vice President Xian Andrei Ruiz, where students vowed to continue promoting science-driven initiatives for the betterment of society. An awarding ceremony followed, giving recognition to students and activities that made Science Month 2025 a meaningful success.
To formally close the program, Mr. Marlon V. Cubangbang, YES-O Adviser, gave his heartfelt remarks, emphasizing the collaboration and dedication that made this yearโs celebration a remarkable one.
With the theme that reflects the importance of science in building sustainable solutions, this yearโs celebration was not just a showcase of knowledge and creativity, but also a commitment to a โYes to Progress, Yes to a Greener and Brighter Tomorrow.โ
