Practical wisdom from the Word of God based on Colossians 3:18-21, "Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged."

Forgive your father, and choose to appreciate the things he does well. Remember to pray for your father. Don't give up hope. God can do miracles in your family.

Jesus means savior! This is His special role. He saves His people from the guilt of sin by cleansing them in His own blood. He saves them from the dominion of sin by putting in their hearts the Holy Spirit. He will save them from all the consequences of sin, when He shall give them a glorious body at the last day.

If you are seeking salvation, draw near to the Father with boldness and confidence through Christ. Jesus delights to show mercy. "For God didn't send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him," (John 3:17). Call out to the Savior, and He will hear and answer you!

Ultimately, the Christian life is a life of obedience. We don't just do what we want--we do what God wants for us. Just like Jesus said in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Not my will, but Yours be done." Let us choose to follow His Will for us every day.

After the Sabbath ended, at the first light of dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to take a look at the tomb. Suddenly, the earth shook violently beneath their feet as the angel of the Yahweh descended from heaven. Lightning flashed around him and his robe was dazzling white! The guards were stunned and terrified—lying motionless like dead men. Then the angel walked up to the tomb, rolled away the stone, and sat on top of it!

The women were breathless and terrified, until the angel said to them, “There’s no reason to be afraid. I know you’re here looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here—he has risen victoriously, just as he said! Come inside the tomb and see the place where our Lord was lying. (Matthew 28:1-6)
