Councilwoman Kristy Marmorato has officially called on Mayor Adams to terminate the Lime scooter program in District 13. Since its rollout, this program has caused persistent safety hazards and disruptions in our community, including:
➡️ Scooters blocking ADA ramps, creating barriers for individuals with disabilities.
➡️ Reckless riding by underage users, endangering themselves and others.
➡️ Traffic law violations putting pedestrians, drivers, and riders at risk.
After documenting dozens of incidents, it’s clear that this program is NOT working for District 13. The safety and well-being of our residents must come first.
