Meet Sassy. 🐾
No one knows exactly what she is—maybe a little heeler, a little corgi, maybe Aussie or chihuahua—but one thing is certain: she is unbelievably adorable and full of spirit. Sassy arrived at the high-kill Riverside shelter after reportedly being kicked by a horse. Her injuries were so severe that her leg couldn’t be saved, and the shelter had to act quickly to amputate it. Now this sweet little girl is learning to navigate the world on three legs, and despite everything she’s been through, her eyes are still full of hope. She’s currently waiting at Riverside Animal Shelter (6851 Van Buren Blvd, Jurupa Valley), hoping someone will see her story and give her the second chance she deserves. Please help save Sassy. She has already lost so much—she shouldn’t lose her chance at a loving home too. 🐶💔

Indie is a special Lab mix that started off with a heartbreaking beginning. A witness saw a homeless person throw her to the ground and stomp on her jaw multiple times. She received a degloving injury to her jaw, but has since then healed. She is about a year old and looking for her forever family through Save our Sheps Rescue. Please meet Mandy❤️‍🩹
Mandy was beaten and stomped on by a person — and somehow, she survived.

Right now, Mandy is decompressing and living in fight-or-flight mode… and who could blame her? She is terrified, in pain, and trying to make sense of how a human could cause her this kind of suffering. She has been actively trying to escape, which shows just how afraid she still is.

The shelter never performed X-rays, and we are deeply concerned Mandy may have a broken jaw. She needs immediate medical care, safety, and time to heal — both physically and emotionally.

We have Mandy scheduled with our dental specialist for advanced 3D X-rays to determine whether her jaw is broken. If it is, she will need immediate surgery. We are also currently paying a dedicated foster to quarantine and monitor her as well since the shelter not too long ago had a distemper outbreak. We are also in need of wet food because of her jaw injury🙏

Woody ( ) is about 4 years old and he is running out of time at San Jacinto Animal shelter located at 581 S. Grand Ave. San Jacinto, CA 92582. He has a front broken leg which needs immediate orthopedic attention! He resembles a beautiful coyote! Can YOU save him? Medical dogs cost rescues funding that is constantly being depleted. Can you help pledge or foster?

Adopt Layla ❤️ she is SO special and a people pleaser. She will go to the ends of the earth to follow you wherever you go. She is dog friendly, cat friendly, farm friendly and listens to commands. We are building her confidence currently and we really need stop find her a foster or adopter.

Save our Sheps rescue is looking for a Malinois experienced foster or adopter. Meet Layla! She is 10 months old and dog friendly, but is working on her confidence and separation anxiety with her person/handler. She was going to be euthanized at a shelter in Los Angeles. Once she meets you she is glued to you. Please comment if interested in helping!
Recommended older kids due to Malinois nip when excited. She also can sometimes guard her person from another dog so knowledge with this breed is imperative.
