Since the pandemic, more Ohio high school students have been enrolling in career-technical education programs. During the 2023-24 school year, only joint vocational school districts saw an increase in student numbers among public schools. Once viewed as a backup plan to college, these programs are now recognized by families and state leaders as a good way for students to start building important job skills early.
