The Weber Family Arts Foundation Combating antisemitism and hate by driving awareness, engagement & activism through the arts.

Specific Purpose:
The purpose of The Weber Family Foundation is to shine a light on stories of hope to overcome hate & bigotry in all its forms. Across a variety of creative mediums, we support artists in developing and producing meaningful work that inspires critical thought, compassion and empathy. Crucially, The Weber Family Foundation supports art that focuses on selflessness and true humanity

. Mission Statement:
The Weber Family Foundation’s mission is to foster empathy and understanding through the arts. With the remarkable survival story of the seven Weber siblings and the extraordinarily selfless strangers who saved them over seven decades ago, at our core we aim to draw parallels between the lessons from that time in history and how they can inspire us all to be upstanders today. Projects:
3-4 specific activities or planned projects that the organization intends to offer as services to the community. Write down anything that comes to mind, or that you would like to see the organization tackle, accomplish, or engage in. The intent is to build a road map, that will help guide you and your team in the work that the organization is setting out to do.

On May 20, 1946, the seven Weber siblings — Alfons, Senta, Ruth, Gertrud, Renee, Judith & Bela — arrived in America as child refugees after surviving unimaginable loss during World War II.

What they endured as children is impossible to comprehend. Yet through resilience, courage & the kindness of others they survived & built new lives free from persecution.

These moments were captured during the 75th anniversary celebration in Chicago — a meaningful gathering with family, friends & loved ones where interviewed Gertrude, Ruth, Ginger & Beth.
