Promoting the clay arts in Georgia. We host workshops, art shows, and support art education.
Established in 2003, the GCC is an all volunteer organization, administrated by an elected board.
Striving to provide learning and enrichment opportunities, the GCC seeks to engage clay artists, of all skill levels, to unlock the unlimited possibilities clay has to offer. The Georgia Clay Council offers exhibitions and shows partnered with regional art centers and galleries that are open to all m
embers. The GCC provides quarterly opportunities for cultural and educational growth. Regional, national, and local artists are invited to present lectures, hands on workshops, and seminars. The GCC has also created a network of regional resources for educators, clay professionals, and students seeking specific expertise and experience. Most importantly, the Georgia Clay Council values the camaraderie of fellow artists as we promote clay works in Georgia. To join the GCC please see our website at gaclaycouncil.com and use the Contact Us tab to send us your information. If you have any questions, please email or message us, we’d love to hear from you.

I'm sad to report that long time GCC member, Ann Wallin, has passed away. She was a talented raku artist and will truly be missed in our community. Her husband Steve shared the following message:
"She passed away in the evening of Monday, 17 November 2025 after succumbing to nearly four years of intensive chemotherapy resulting from a diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
An informal gathering of family and friends is scheduled in lieu of a formal funeral in an effort to accommodate the personal commitments of attendees during the busy Thanksgiving holidays.
The gathering will be held on Friday, 28 November 2025 from 1:30 pm to 3 pm. The location will be:
Lakeside Funeral Home
121 Claremore Drive
Woodstock, GA 30188
Phone: 770-293-2757
In lieu of flowers, attendees are encouraged to make donations to cancer research in the hope that the future will bring a cure for this terrible disease.
Ann Marie had many far-flung friends and associates in the pottery and arts community – far more than will be reached by this announcement. Please spread the word of her passing among the wider community."

GCC Members, please check your email and take a moment to look at this Empty Bowls Committee Invitation.
You can help make the Canton Empty Bowls 2026 a success by volunteering on the committee, for the event, or by making bowls to donate.
Here's a dozen trimmed bowls from yesterday's bowl-a-thon! We're more than half a year away from the event in March but bowl production is well under way!

Tonight's meeting is available virtually! Join us at 6:30 pm
