What a memorable evening at Tucson Kino Rotary’s Pass the Gavel on June 13, 2026!

This year’s celebration was especially meaningful as we honored not only the transition of leadership, but also celebrated Tucson Kino Rotary’s 25th Anniversary and recognized the legacy of all of our Past Presidents whose leadership, service, and dedication helped shape our club over the years.

We celebrated a year of service, friendship, and impact while honoring our outgoing President Gloria Platt and welcoming our incoming Co-Presidents David Fawcett and Mick Ulrich.

Congratulation to our Past President Emma Carillo who became District Governor of Rotary District 5500 during her installation on June 7th.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so special as we reflected on our history, celebrated our achievements, honored the spirit of Service Above Self, and welcomed our incoming Co-Presidents David Fawcet and Micki Ulrich as we begin a new Rotary year under the 2026–2027 theme, Create Lasting Impact.

Here’s to 25 years of service, friendship, and making a difference—and to the impact still to come! 💙💛

With U of A Rotaract members helping to distribute dental hygiene kits to first to fifth grade students at Title I schools. This is just one of dozens of community service projects while being full time college students.

Since 2021, the Club has distributed thousands of kits to children giving them access to basic dental hygiene supplies--toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss and educational bilingual brochure--while promoting early preventive dental care.

Kino and Sunrise Rotary Clube provide financial support for this annual initiative.

Thank you Rotactors for your "Service Above Self'!

On a beautiful morning in late April, Tucson Kino Rotarians gathered to spruce up Rudy Garcia Park (formerly Rodeo Park). The group kicked off their morning of service by enjoying strawberries with whipped cream, followed by a tasty donut and bottled water to fuel their efforts.

In just one hour, they successfully transformed the somewhat neglected park into a sparkling, clean space. It was a highly satisfying morning of community service!

Kino Rotarians joyfully celebrated fellow Rotarian Odette Koffo’s retirement from nursing as she begins on a well-deserved new journey—now officially off the clock. We spent the evening with dinner, heartfelt testimonials, warmest wishes, and hitting the dance floor. Other district Rotarians joined in the evening celebration!

Odette will now have more time to devote to her humanitarian efforts in the Ivory Coast, where her focus is on menstrual health and hygiene keeping girls in school.

Congratulations Odette!
