Today is recognized as National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to honour the lost children and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.
It is also Orange shirt Day. Orange is now worn as a symbol of the stripping away of culture, freedom and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children over generations.

The Dufferin County Multicultural Art Show: Unity in Diversity.

In partnership with the MoD, the Dufferin County Multicultural Art Show: Unity in Diversity. featured the works of artists from across Ontario. Each artist has created works that reflect their own culture or the theme of “unity in diversity”.

Thank you to Town Of Mono council and staff for raising the flag in recognition of Canadian Multiculturalism.

By celebrating multiculturalism in our community it allows for the opportunity to deepen our understanding of the values of cultural diversity, foster respect and open-mindedness for other cultures, educate us on different perspectives and experiences, and promotes unity in diversity within our community.
