The pantry is normally open Tuesdays 10 am– 12.30 pm and Saturdays 10 am – noon
Who is the pantry for? Anyone living in Bellfields, Stoke Hill, Slyfield and Jacobs Well and also people who attend activities at St. How is the community pantry different from a food bank? You don’t need a referral, just turn up during our opening hours. We don’t supply a fixed bag of items; you choose what you need.
Can I come regularly? The pantry is here to provide emergency help to tide you over on an occasional basis, for example: an unexpected bill or sudden loss of income. Do I have to give my name and address? Just your name and road. This helps to ensure that we are serving our local community fairly. What is available? Tins, jars and dried food as well as a small selection of frozen food. We also usually have nappies, some cleaning supplies and toiletries. Do you provide bags? Please bring your own bags, including an insulated one for frozen food. If you forget, we should have some spares. I would like to donate, how can I do this? We have collection boxes at Weyfield School, Christ’s College and St Peter’s Shared Church. We welcome donations of non-perishable food, toiletries and household supplies. Please check that donated items are unopened and well within their best before date. For food safety reasons, we cannot accept donations of frozen food from individuals. If you would like to make a financial donation to enable us to purchase items, including frozen food, please email [email protected]
