Final International Webinar of the Erasmus+ project "Promoting life cycle thinking in higher education" LIFE-C

We were thrilled to host our Final LIFE-C Workshop, bringing together nearly 50 participants to explore the key outcomes and achievements of the project!
✨ The session focused on how to access and use our project deliverables, including:
✅ The Official E-learning Platform
✅ Engaging and interactive online courses
✅ A Comprehensive Handbook for learners and professionals
We also revisited the inspiring journey of the LIFE-C project, highlighting:

📣 Life-C Special Session | Wednesday, 25/06 | Paphos, Cyprus
A special session took place as part of the second module of the Life-C courses, focusing on real-life challenges tackled by our students. These challenges were provided directly by companies and based on actual data, ensuring relevance and real-world application.
🔍 During this session, students showcased how they applied Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies to address complex, practical problems, demonstrating the impact of academic learning on industry-driven cases.
The session was opened by Dr. Szymon Sobek, who offered insights into how students are guided and coached through the LCA process, turning theory into hands-on experience with real-world significance.
👏 Congratulations to all participants for their dedication and innovative thinking, and a big thank you to the companies who trusted our students with real challenges!

🌍Yesterday we successfully launched the Final Meeting of the Erasmus+ LIFE-C Project in Gliwice, hosted by Silesian University of Technology (SUT)!
Day 1 was filled with discussions on life cycle thinking in higher education-from reviewing project outcomes and student solution challenges to an inspiring public session with contributions from our partners (SUT, LUT, NTUA, Unicusano ) and associate partner AGH.
👏 A big thank you to everyone for their active participation and collaboration. We’re excited for Day 2 and the concluding reflections on dissemination, impact, and future initiatives!

Students from the University of Florence attending the Life-C Module 1

Students from the "Environmental Engineering" Master Programme, from the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, School of Engineering, of the University of Florence. They are attending the class titled "Environmental Analaysis of Products and Processes", in which 3 ECTs are dedicated to LCA and for which they are attending the LIFE-C Module 1 available at LUT Moodle, coupled with in-presence lectures. The class started on 28th February and will end on 6th June. The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department is an associated partner of the LIFE-C project.

LIFE-C project was presented during EURECA-PRO meeting at UHasselt, Belgium! Climate and Environmental Protection Modern Energy POB6 Scientific Seminar
On 11.03.2025 Dr Inz Szymon Sobek presented the LIFE-C project during a national-level webinar organized by SUT Faculty of Organization and Manegement as a part of the „Priority Research Area POB6 Climate and environmental protection, modern energy, within the action of „Education for sustainable development and shaping ecological awareness”. Szymon presented the current status of the project, developed 3 modules of the LIFE-C courses, and invited to track the latest updates on the official e-learning platform release.
