Garden Club / Farmers & Artisan Markets?

Thank you Kim Hanks for hosting us at your home to talk about weekly/ or monthly outdoor activations on the lawn of the school site. Some great ideas mentioned:

1. garden club - where neighborhood folks can donate & sell plants and seasonal yard produce yields.
2.farmers & artisan market -where we help local sellers, makers & artists showcase & exhibit their goods/wares/ & creations

Let us know if you’d like to be involved in any of these activation ideas or know of folks that would be interested.

Bank of America building burned down on Del Paso Blvd months ago. There have been many complaints by community folks over the remaining blight. Councilman Roger Dickinson states the owners have 90 days ( 3 months) to clear the property before the City takes action and the time frame is nearing. However, he said the property owners are apparently on track with protocol for removal & working with the City on that deadline. However, health & safety questions abound since the building has known asbestos in an open-air site adjacent to homes, a busy retail corridor, and a youth center across the street.

How safe are those of us living, working, and transiting near this site?
