Gongribali Eco-lodge Group, formed by community members of Norbugang Gewog, Pemagatshel, is charting a path toward sustainable tourism that not only conserves nature but also empowers the local community.

The eco-lodge is situated in the Kerungbali area, some 30 kilometres from Nganglam town.

We offer our Tashi Delek to all who were honoured on the 118th National Day of Bhutan by His Majesty the King.

We are particularly proud to share below the honour bestowed on Fritz Baumgartner, a long-time expert who worked with HELVETAS Bhutan:
"Fritz Albert Baumgartner was conferred the National Order of Merit (Gold) in recognition of his over 30 years of dedicated service to Bhutan’s infrastructure and development.
Fritz Albert Baumgartner, 70, a Swiss architect, has dedicated more than three decades to Bhutan’s development through his work with Helvetas, Pro Bhutan Association, and various government agencies. He has contributed to the planning, design, and supervision of numerous infrastructure and heritage projects, including the College of Natural Resources, RNR Centres, Punakha Hospital, Drukgyel School for Hearing Impaired Children, Ogyen Choling Foundation, and the Royal Academy Construction Project in Pangbisa. His expertise in traditional Bhutanese architecture, rammed earth construction, and heritage preservation has strengthened the nation’s infrastructure while respecting cultural values. He is currently working with Gyalsung Infrastructure, and continues to support Bhutan’s growth and sustainable development."
