Know Better, Do Better is a 3-day virtual SCORA Regional Advocacy Camp organized by IFMSA-Kurdistan and PMSA-Palestine, taking place 28–30 April 2026.

This regional initiative focuses on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV), aiming to empower medical students with the knowledge, advocacy skills, and leadership capacity needed to address these issues within their communities and future healthcare settings.

Through interactive sessions, discussions, and collaborative activities, the camp will bring together participants from the three NMOs to strengthen regional cooperation, challenge stigma, and promote youth-led action toward more informed, inclusive, and equitable healthcare.

We invite motivated medical students to join this learning space and contribute to meaningful conversations that translate awareness into action.

[World Health Awareness campaign]

Public health focuses on preventing disease and improving health outcomes through both structured systems and individual behaviors.

Key strategies include vaccination, early detection, health education, and strengthening healthcare systems.

At the same time, simple daily habits such as sleep, nutrition, physical activity, and stress management play a crucial role in long-term health.

A strong public health approach integrates prevention, awareness, and consistent healthy practices to build healthier populations.

[World Health Awareness Campaign]

Health is influenced by a wide range of social, economic, and environmental factors known as the social determinants of health.

These determinants explain why some populations experience better health outcomes than others, even in the absence of medical differences.

Addressing health requires more than clinical care — it requires improving the conditions in which people live and grow.

Reducing health inequalities is a core goal of public health.

[World Health Awareness campaign]

Health extends beyond the absence of illness; it represents complete physical, mental, and social well-being.

On World Health Day, we recognize health as a fundamental human right and highlight the importance of equitable access to healthcare services globally.

In Palestine, where healthcare systems face ongoing challenges, awareness and prevention remain essential tools for improving public health outcomes.

🚨 Joint Statement by PMSA–Palestine and IFMSA NMOs Worldwide

The Palestinian Medical Students’ Association (PMSA–Palestine), together with medical student associations across multiple regions of the world, issues this joint statement condemning the Israeli Knesset’s decision to advance legislation enabling the ex*****on of Palestinian detainees.

This decision represents a dangerous escalation that seeks to institutionalize death within a system already marked by discrimination and severe violations of due process. As medical students and advocates for human rights, we reject policies that normalize violence, dehumanization, and irreversible harm.

Health cannot be separated from human rights. Systems that impose fear, death, and collective punishment fundamentally contradict the World Health Organization’s definition of health and threaten the wellbeing of individuals, families, and entire communities.

With World Health Day approaching on April 7, we reaffirm that protecting life, dignity, and justice must remain at the center of global health efforts.

[They were just going home.]

In moments meant to be simple, safe, and full of warmth, some families are met with the unimaginable.

A routine day.
A shared walk.
A promise of celebration.

But for many, even these moments are not guaranteed.

Loss does not only take lives.
It reshapes the lives of those left behind in grief, in trauma, in unanswered questions.

When safety is taken away, health is taken with it.
Because health is not only physical, it is psychological, emotional, and social well-being.

Awareness begins with acknowledging these realities.
Care begins with refusing to normalize them.

Take a moment today to reflect, to remember, and to stand for the right of every family to feel safe.

[Protect Your Mind. Protect Your Peace.]
In times of crisis, protecting your mind and body is not a luxury — it is essential.

When uncertainty rises, fear and anxiety are normal human responses. But small actions can help us regain a sense of control: limiting constant news exposure, staying connected to loved ones, grounding our breath, and returning to simple routines.

Safety begins with awareness.
Care begins with knowledge.

Take a moment today to pause, breathe, and protect your peace.
