Ellie’s Japanese Dream
Ellie Butterfield is a 14 year old girl from Potters Bar who in 2016, on her last day of primary school, discovered that she had an EPENDYMOMA, a rare cancerous brain tumour. She underwent two brain surgeries at Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital followed by Proton Beam Therapy in Oklahoma, USA.
In January this year, just as she was getting her life back on track, Ellie received the devastating news that her cancer was back. She endured another brain surgery at GOSH and six weeks of radiotherapy at UCLH. All of this has taken its toll both physically and even more so mentally.
We would like to give Ellie something to look forward to and fulfil her dream of going to Japan. Monies raised at the event will go towards getting Ellie to Japan and to support GOSH & UCLH.
