STATEMENT OF INTENT AND VISION FOR PAP
As an advocate of psychologyโs transformative power, I fully support the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP) in its mission to uphold excellence in the teaching, research, and ethical practice of psychology. If given the opportunity to serve, I intend to contribute meaningfully in advancing PAPโs vision through three key directions.
First, I will actively promote psychology at the grassroots level, ensuring that psychological services become more accessible and responsive to the needs of Filipino communities, especially in times of adversity and crisis. Mental health should not be a privilege but a right for all.
Second, I am committed to championing the well-being of marginalized sectorsโIndigenous Peoples, persons with additional needs, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and older adultsโby promoting inclusive and culturally sensitive psychological interventions.
Third, I will work toward strengthening global standards of psychological practice in the Philippines, through capacity-building, cross-institutional partnerships, and continuing professional development.
With these intentions, I hope to help build a more resilient, inclusive, and empowered society through psychology.
