Come and connect with other dads, find community, and support because you don't have to do this alone!

How to Access the Support Closet:
Visit us at Second Home: 100 Steeple Rd. Holly Springs, NC. Enjoy refreshments and snacks while you wait.
Pick up your customized support items- created with your family's needs in mind.
We're here to support you every step of the way!

What to expect: The first time at our closet, or if you have a new placement, you will receive a welcome bag with items such as microwavable stuffed animals, blankets for kids in the home, brand-name water bottles, backpacks or diaper bags if needed, and a gift card. Additionally, each month, you can receive hygiene care for all ages, including diapers and wipes, a meal or gift card, and any other available resources.

If you missed the big news from our newsletter yesterday, we are so excited to announce we are expanding our Support Closet and moving into our very own space! We are spending the next couple of months moving the closet, bringing in new items like new underwear and socks for placements, and creating a space for our families to gather and get support. Stay tuned for our big Back To School Bash Grand Opening 🎉

Every March, National Social Work Month recognizes the dedication and empathy social workers across the country deliver while providing services to children and adults in need.

Here are two ways YOU can thank a social worker with Second Home.
💚 Tag any social worker in the comments and we will pick a couple this month and bless them with a gift.
💚 We will be providing lunch for a local DSS office on Friday March 21st. If you would like to help give towards blessing 21 social workers with lunch you can give here- https://www.secondhomerdu.com/give/

The Second Home Support Closet is open on Sunday! The third and fifth Sunday of every month from 3-5 PM there will be spots available on a first come first serve basis.

What to expect: The first time at our closet, or if you have a new placement, you will get a welcome bag with items such as microwavable stuffies, blankets for kids in the home, brand name water bottles, backpacks or diaper bags if needed, a folder of resources, and a gift card. Plus each month you can get hygeine care for all ages, diapers, wipes, a meal or gift card, and any recourses available.

To utilize the support closet, follow the steps below:
💚 Follow the link in comments to register or login. Please register all family members for us to be able to tailor your bag. You can include diaper sizes, ages or any special needs you may have.
💚 Choose an available time slot on an open day. We do ask that if you can not make the appt to please cancel your slot.
💚 At your chosen time slot, arrive at Lake Springs Church 304 Raleigh St Holly Springs for your pick up. There you will be greated with refreshments and snacks. Plus there is an enclosed outdoor playground 🙂
💚 Receive your support items tailored to your family's needs!
*Parents can sign up once a month for the closet

1 day to go! Bidding is open online and items are going fast! Angus Barn Captains Table, Hurricane Tickets, Teeth whitening and more!

Dont forget tomorrow we will have an in person event to see the items and have a chance on some awesome raffle baskets. 100% of the funds raised goes into our Support Closet for foster, adoptive and kinship families.
