Hey guys! We have some amazing Wednesday afternoon updates! We’ve posted for several weeks about our adoption event coming up this Sunday June 7 2026 at Pet Supplies Plus - Kokomo, IN from 1-4PM located at 609 n. Dixon rd. Kokomo IN 46901 for an adoption event and a food drive! We finally have our list of who will be attending and we are hoping to fill our truck bed with dog food for us and the community we help! 🥺❤️ our help does not just cover Howard county but several Miami and Tipton county residents have relied on us for food to feed their animals and a handful of grant county as well. We truly love helping but are not able to right now until we replenish our supply! We are praying and hoping we see yall come out, say hi, buy a bag of food, and enjoy the day with us! Pet supplies plus is offering 10 percent off any item donated for us and paws on my heart! 🤩

The beautiful photographer herself and her amazing friends Sandy Martin Wilkinson Sandy Wilkinson Photography are going to come out and photograph our adoptable dogs! People who attend our event and either adopt or donate will get 20 percent off their photography session when they book with her on Sunday! I will be posting her photography to look at here shortly! She is amazing and this is an incredible opportunity for not only us and our dogs but also for anyone who wants professional photos taken and wants a discount 😍❤️

We will have applications that can be filled out in person but if you’re planning to adopt same day, please get your applications in prior to! We will have between 17-19 dogs at our event! We cannot wait to see you guys! If you have any questions about any individual dogs please comment on their pictures and we or their foster families will monitor and answer!

We have not yet posted it but last week butters a.k.a. little butterball a.k.a. all butters no brains  was adopted to the sweetest girls! They met him at an adoption event two weekends ago and we had to  go through the application process of getting approved over a holiday weekend, a patiently waited to bring their bestie home! I cannot even fathom him finding a better home than with these two little sweeties! Welcome to the USCR family! ❤️

Hey guys! I’m with Unchained Souls Canine Rescue and we are holding an adoption event at Pet Supplies Plus - Kokomo, IN on Sunday June 7 from 1-4pm. Some of our puppies that will be there won’t be able to leave with new families at the event due to them being too young but they’ll be there for people to see and for us to take applications on. Our puppies leave with at least two sets of vaccines, rabies if old enough, fixed, microchipped, f***l samples tested at the vet, any and all parasites taken care of, they go home current on all monthly preventions, and so on. We have them well socialized with young kids, cats/kittens, and dogs of all sizes! My litter of 6 pictured won’t be allowed to leave but people can come watch them play and get an idea of who they are interested in ❤️ several other dogs will be attending that can be adopted from our event!

This will also be a donation food drive! We will be collecting any and all bags of food as we help tons of community members feed their animals so they can keep them! I will also have my personal bottle kitten fosters there who will be able to have applications filled out. They can be adopted after June 15 when they get neutered!

Adoption fees vary, but the most important thing is the food drive.

Pet supplies plus is offering a 10 percent discount to anyone who donates food to us! So if you go in the store and buy a bag to donate you’ll get 10 percent off! We don’t need anything fancy, we have homes that prefer pedigree, Purina dog chow, and diamond! The store will also have awesome deals on other brand like science diet that we do use as well!! Any and all cat food will be donated to Paws On My Heart, Inc. which is who I’m fostering bottle kittens for! Even though I’m part of a dog rescue I still help cats when I can and it’s always through POMH. So any and all items collected for POMH will also be 10 percent off 🥳

I’m celebrating my birthday a few days late at the store doing this event to help not only us but the people we take care of 😍

Come say hi to us! The less money we spend on food the more we can try to save to get our kennels back. We had a ton of kennels that were damaged due to us taking the streets dog for the police after hours for several months due to no after hours animal control. I’m not here to speak on the shelter and the city’s funding issues, but I do know we need help ❤️Unfortunately we had most of our large kennels damaged and haven’t been able to house any large dogs overnight because of it.

Hello friends! You might have seen our post literally two days ago about a mom dog who was intentionally killed and left behind were her 4-5 week old babies. 4 weeks old when she was killed, closer to 5 weeks now that we finally have them. I sat there and waited for other rescues more local to these babies to step in and sadly nobody else did. Everyone is full, money is scarce, there’s just nowhere to put more dogs even if they’re cute. Cuteness doesn’t make space any longer, but I saw the picture of the puppy I named Lydia and she didn’t look good and I knew if we didn’t take them soon she likely wouldn’t make it at all. I am not the judge or the jury and we don’t make the laws, the mom dog being killed we can’t do anything that’s up to the law where these guys were to tackle that, but what we know is 6 babies are safe and will need homes at home point within the next 4 weeks when they’re closer to 9 weeks old. Thankfully everyone is devouring hard food and everyone looks good as of today. I was up until 4:30am bathing and picking fleas off of all 6 of them.

I can’t thank Keyshon and his friend enough for taking their entire Thursday from 6am to 6pm to go to Kentucky and get 6 little lives that fully depended on them. Without Keyshon, it would’ve been a matter of time before these guys succumbed to the Kentucky elements and the lack of knowledge on how to care for them if they were to tank. I don’t have a picture of Keyshon with the babies, he didn’t do it for recognition or praise but he deserves a massive thank you. ❤️

Welcome the L litter! 5 girls and 1 boy 😍 we don’t know the breed and it doesn’t matter, they’ll be socialized amazingly with cats, young kids, and dogs of all sizes! They will go home with a basic knowledge of where to potty and what a crate is for nighttime purposes 🥳

We could really use some help with funding. Between the community projects to help people keep their pets, this little adventure here, and the fact I have now spent $200 last Sunday on food, $225 yesterday on food, and another $235 today for prescription food for some of the dogs in our care who need the extra TLC, we are completely broke and bills aren’t getting paid. I couldn’t say no to these guys and when Keyshon jumped to go get them I knew it was meant to be they were with us, but anything after these guys will be a very heartbreaking no because we are broke. 😪💔 if anyone can spare a few dollars, I promise it’ll go to good use 🥺

Hey friends!!

I wanted to showcase two beautiful babies that are overlooked at our adoption events because they’re shy 🥺💔 they won’t come to the front of their kennel to say hi to you because the events put them out of their element and they’re nervous Nellies in chaos. They will be at our next event on June 7, 2025 from 1-4pm at Pet Supplies Plus - Kokomo, IN and even though they won’t be jumping in your face to say hi, I’d really love to see these two babies get some love.

Meet Olivia and Billy! Olivia and Billy are siblings to OJ and Snoop Dogg who were already adopted. This is truly surprising because while OJ and Snoop were absolutely adorable, I thought the white pups would be the first to go because of how insanely pretty they are. Olivia’s nose speckles are unmatched in the cuteness department 🥰 we have reduced their adoption fees down to $300 for this adoption event. They are fully vetted including all puppy vaccines, rabies, microchip, they are fixed, they are house and crate trained and when I tell you they have PERFECT manners at all adoption events and zero accidents we mean that. They’re between 3-4 months old currently and beyond ready for a forever home! They will each need a playful doggy friend and a fenced yard in their forever home and maybe a family who is more on the patient side. These sweet angels were going to be euthanized due to their initial fearful behavior. We do not slam any shelter for their decisions, we know how tight space is and we know we have the luxury of saying no when we don’t have kennel space, some shelters are required to intake every single animal and when push comes to shove, that’s generally when rescues step in. These cuties are ready for their next and forever chapter! Please comment, message, or email us if you’re interested in Billy or Olivia 🥰

I also wanted to post an update regarding our payment experience at events. We finally invested in a square reader for McCayla, Mitzie, and Shannon to each have that way our 3 points of contact can now take a credit card without having to use PayPal Venmo or having someone leave to find an ATM. 🥳❤️

We will be able to take credit card donations now at events as well so we can use those donations to buy dog food for us and our community members! 😍
