There is a new use for your old corks. Any ole cork will be fine. Ever heard of Slow Tennis. They make their own tennis balls from corks. And are in need of corks to make their tennis balls. They are collecting now. Drop them off to 50 Downes Street North Epping.

👏 Exciting news: the Community Recycling Centre (CRC) is now accepting soft plastics ♻

Starting today, Hornsby Shire residents only can drop soft plastics off at the Thornleigh CRC for recycling.

In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of this service, please only drop off household quantities of dry and clean, soft plastics. We cannot accept any larger, stockpile quantities of soft plastics.

Your soft plastics will be sent to iQRenew, where they’ll be sorted, shredded, and transformed into reusable plastic pellets. These pellets will then be moulded into new items by other manufacturers – crates, buckets, kitchen caddies and more!

Stay tuned for ways you can get involved in supporting the local circular economy by purchasing some of these recycled plastic items.

👉 For a list of soft plastics items accepted, visit www.hornsby.nsw.gov.au/crc

My heart swelled with joy and pride as we sorted this HUGE donation of formal wear for the NAIDOC week balls in July! North Epping/Epping is an amazingly generous community. Thank you 🤩

We filled over 30 satchels and boxes to be sent to several remote communities around Australia.

Thank you to Ken and Jon for opening the club early so we could have space for sorting.
