Tomorrow, we kick off our World Veterinary Day community clinics in Makindye Division, starting in Nsambya at St. Paul Grounds, as Uniquely Paws teams up with and to bring free rabies vaccinations, spay & neuter surgeries, and pet care education directly to the community building on the impact we’ve just seen in Bukedea with the goal of protecting animals, preventing the spread of rabies, and supporting responsible pet ownership.

We invite all pet guardians to show up, bring their dogs and cats, and be part of creating a safer, healthier community for everyone. 🐾💛

New month. New opportunities to make a difference. 🐾💛

In April, you helped us bring life-saving care to communities that need it most. In May, we continue that mission — reaching more animals, educating more families, and building safer communities.

This is how change happens. One clinic at a time.

At every clinic, there’s a moment that stays with you.

A child holding onto their dog tightly, making sure they don’t run away.
A quiet sense of relief when the vet says, “They’ll be okay.”
A community gathering not just for care, but for hope.

These moments don’t happen by chance. They happen because someone, somewhere, chose to support this work we do.

This week, that someone should be you.

And if you choose to stand with us again, we can reach even more animals, more families, and more communities.

There’s something you don’t see in these photos.

The distance some families travel just to reach a clinic.
The uncertainty of not knowing if their pet will ever receive care.
The quiet fear of diseases like rabies which are still very real here.

Through out last week, our Vet team lead by USAPA were working across Bukedea to change that reality. One clinic at a time.

Every vaccination helps stop the spread.
Every surgery prevents future suffering.

But none of this happens without support.

We rely on people who understand that access to care shouldn’t depend on where you’re born.

👉 If you can, kindly support this work by donating through the link in bio.

Last week in Bukedea, something powerful happened. 🐾💛

Hundreds of animals were brought in some for the first time in their lives. Families waited patiently, holding onto pets they care deeply about, hoping for something simple: help.

And because of support from people like you, that help was there.

Vaccinations that protect entire communities from rabies.
Surgeries that prevent future suffering before it begins.
Conversations that help young guardians learn how to care for the animals they love.

In places like New York, London, Boston or even Durban access to veterinary care can feel routine. But here, it changes everything.

This is the difference you make.
And with your support, we can keep showing up where it matters most.

Day 5 — Bukedea Town Council Headquarters. 🐾💛

We closed out our World Veterinary Day clinics in Bukedea the only way we know how showing up strong.

349 animals reached
331 rabies vaccinations
67 spay/neuter surgeries

A powerful final day to mark the end of a week-long effort that brought life-saving care to communities that need it most. What may feel routine in places like all over world becomes extraordinary here protecting animals, preventing suffering, and safeguarding entire communities.

This is what it looks like when people come together for a cause bigger than themselves.

With heartfelt thanks to for standing with us and co-sponsoring these clinics, to UWAC for joining hands in driving this mission, and to our incredible veterinary partners USAPA and VetConekt for leading and delivering this work on the ground.

Together, we made this possible. 🐾💛

Day 4 — Malera, Bukedea. 🐾💛
Yesterday wasn’t just another day in the field it was a breakthrough.

233 rabies vaccinations
76 spay & neuter surgeries

In many parts of the world, veterinary care is routine a short drive, a quick visit, a given. In Bukedea, it’s something communities wait for… sometimes for years. So when it arrives, it doesn’t just treat animals it changes futures.

Every vaccine protects a family from a deadly disease.
Every surgery prevents generations of suffering.
Every moment here ripples through an entire community.
Because of you, access is no longer a privilege it becomes a lifeline.

This is what real impact looks like.
This is how far compassion travels.

With deep gratitude to , our incredible veterinary team from USAPA, UWAC, and every single person standing with us to make this possible

Day 3 — Kidongole, Bukedea. 🐾💛

Yesterday, 146 dogs were vaccinated against rabies and 41 spay & neuter surgeries were completed. Real impact, in just one day.

For many families here, this is the only access to veterinary care. What may feel routine in other parts of the world becomes life-saving here protecting animals, preventing suffering, and keeping entire communities safe.

This is the bridge your support builds from all over the world to Bukedea.

With gratitude to for helping power this work and to everyone making this possible.

On Monday, we launched the first of our five World Veterinary Day clinics and the response was powerful.
