Last week New Kids on the Books celebrated books and reading by partnering with Page 158 Books to bring author Stacy McAnulty to a couple of area schools and donating nearly 100 copies of her books!

This May New Kids on the Books and Page 158 Books brought Bear Snores On author Karma Wilson to three area schools and donated over 150 copies of her books. The kids listened, laughed and had the best time. 📚💙

This fall we can't wait to share the excitement of books and authors with students as we bring four amazing authors to area schools.

We raised close to $2000 last week through our quarterly used book sale.
We are thrilled to donate so we can get books into kids hands.

We visited 3 schools last week and donated books to each school.
We want to do more!
Staggering statistics say that, jails get built where kids 9-11 can’t read.
THAT GOES ACROSS RACE AND SOCIOECONOMIC lines!
It could be you, or your neighbor!
We want desperately prevent that.
Think of donating a book to a child who has never owned a book.
It makes a huge difference!

We had a great day at the Town of Wake Forest STEM Saturday event with our special guest--author Eleanor Spicer Rice, Phd. Thanks to support from Page 158 Books, we were able to give away hundreds of copies of her book The Deadliest: Big Cats and get kids excited about reading and science!

Local students at 5 elementary schools got a visit from author Eleanor Spicer Rice as well as a book to bring home courtesy of New Kids on the Books and Page 158 Books.
Altogether, nearly 1,000 copies of her books--The Deadliest: Spider and The Deadliest: Big Cat--were sent home with area kids.

Start collecting your books to donate! Our Used Book Sale returns next week.

Starting on Saturday April 5th, we will accept donations of books. (We can not take used textbooks or books that are falling apart).

All proceeds benefit New Kids on the Books Literacy Project.

We are happy to partner with North East Wake Backpack Buddies and provide a book for each child in the program to take home and enjoy.
Thanks to the wonderful customers at Page 158 Books we were able to drop off donations of food as well!
This donation totaled over 300 books, hundreds of food items as well as some monetary contributions.
Together we are feeding kids bodies and minds.
