Follow the trail of Oklahoma-raised fighting roosters all the way to the Philippines. Tens of thousands of those roosters you see tethered to barrels or tents around Oklahoma were headed to cockfighting arenas in the Philippines. Now, it is much more difficult for this to happen. Kudos to Korean Air.https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14a2AYU7Hx7/

The airline was used by chicken breeders in Texas to illegally transport roosters for cockfights, an animal welfare group said.

VICTORY! Our Investigation Causes Seismic Shift in Cockfighting Trade

After our extensive investigation and direct engagement, Korean Air has agreed to halt shipments of fighting birds from the U.S. to the Philippines, cutting off major air routes central to the global cockfighting trade.

Our investigators traced the supply chain – stretching from Dallas to the World Slasher Cup in Manila. Our findings exposed the cruelty and the illegality.
Your engagement helped drive this outcome.

This action disrupts a pipeline worth tens of millions in illicit revenue and demonstrates how targeted investigations and corporate engagement can reshape industry practices.

We will continue working to ensure other carriers follow and to secure lasting policy change across the aviation sector.
