I've been on quite a journey with this little one!

For the last month I have been trying to get on top of what was going on.. I originally thought it a type of pox, then a type of canker, then realising woodie has staphylococcus (A type of bacteria that lives on the skin) Most likely a cause of her immune dropping, or a broken skin wound.

We are finally starting to get on top of it with a combo of antibiotics, iodine cleaning, and a topical cream.

We will get there little friend! ❤️

My birds fund pot is terribly low at the moment if anyone could help a feathered one out... 🪶

Now I know you shouldn't have favourites... but Dolly 🥹🥹❤️

Dolly has issues with her feet at the moment so I've got her on some treatment and shes doing great. She is such a chilled and beautiful little soul 🕊

Although im temp closed the work is always ongoing with over 80 birds still so if anyone could spare a wee donation that would be grand.

I may be temporarily closed but behind the scenes is still very much happening 😅

Cleaning up at the wood is hard work as there is no electricity or water supply, so basically its just me and one of my good friends Nicky slogging logs, spades and sacks around 🤣 Forever grateful for your constant help Nic!!

Its not always easy to manage work, family and over a 100 pigeons, but hey you know us women are cracking at multitasking!!

I do need to get my begging bowl out though as I am one person self funded rescue so your donations are the thing that keeps this rescue going 🥹🥰😘

If anyone could spare even the smallest amount that would help so much 🕊

Hi people sadly I will be closed for the foreseeable as I am way over capacity and I have kept on as long as I am able, but I just have too many birds, and there is only me at the rescue.

Please, please don't just turn up at my house, it causes a lot of issues with my family as its my choice to run a rescue not theirs.

I will always advise where I can, but it really does put so much pressure on me when people turn up at all hours unannounced. I am in no way having a dig at anyone, you know I always want to help but I have to put my family first 💕

Meep meep!!

This tiny baby woodie was found on a Monday by a lovely couple, he was laying on the ground next to a dead sibling.

When little one arrived on my door step he had many fly eggs in his mouth 😖 (decided I'd call him eggy ☺️)

He got cleaned up, warmed up and then fed and today he did his first meeps 🤩

Ill never get over the length of a baby woodies beak 🤣
