Introduction to InNow project

Startups and SMEs are disruptors within the energy sector. The innovation potential of these entities are changing the market by redefining its trajectory.

Today, there are endless opportunities for synergies between start-ups, SMEs, and large corporates.

The InNow project will foster such win-win cooperation in the Clean Tech sector which has a huge growth potential. The project consortium consisting of partners from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia will design an Innovation Support Framework suited for their markets.

The project consists of three programmes, targeting the maturity and size of the relevant companies:

The “Business Support Programme” targets start-ups and SMEs, enabling them to partner up with the large energy sector companies. It will be done by mapping their needs with follow-up trainings.

The “Innovation Support Programme” increases the awareness of large companies about opportunities that can achieved through cooperation with solutions offered by technology start-ups and SMEs. By targeting the communication barrier between startup and corporates, the language and goals are adjusted to find the mutually beneficial common-ground.

The “Matchmaking Acceleration Programme” introduces individual tailor-made solutions for all stakeholders that aim at accelerating cooperation in innovation.

These pilot support programmes will reach around 200 clean-tech start-ups, SMEs, and five large companies in the participating countries.

The tested framework will then be open for transfer to other business support organisations in central Europe and the EU.

The project is implemented by an international consortium. Its leader is InnoEnergy Central Europe (Poland), ABC Accelerator (Slovenia), Optimizacija itd (Croatia), University of Debrecen (Hungary), EH Invest (Hungary) and Neulogy (Slovakia).

The implementation of this project which is co-financed by the INTERREG CENTRAL EUROPE programme will take three years.
