We are asking the general public to take a stand against fur farming. Research has found that in 2020 a survey was taken and resulted in 76% of Canadians are opposed to killing animals for their fur. Click the two links in our bio to send a prewritten email to all a total of 121 Ontario Member’s of Parliament asking them to end fur farming in Ontario.

Whether it came from an animal on a fur farm or one who was trapped in the wild, every fur coat, trinket, and bit of trim caused an animal tremendous suffering—and took away a life. Each year, approximately 100 million animals are killed for their fur.

From the moment these beautiful creatures are bred into existence, their lives become a never-ending nightmare. Confined to tiny wire cages, they endure unimaginable horrors.

But their captivity is short-lived, for their fur must remain pristine amidst the atrocious conditions they endure. Soon enough, they meet a merciless fate, brutally killed and stripped of their skins.

This outdated and barbaric industry has no place in our modern society.

Not only does the fur farming industry inflict unimaginable suffering upon these animals, but it also exploits workers, ravages the environment, contributes minimally to our economy, and poses a constant threat of infectious disease outbreaks for both humans and non-human animals alike.

Enough is enough! We implore our Minister of Agriculture .alexis to take prompt action and bring an end to this despicable trade in BC once and for all.

Despite the significant victory of banning mink fur farms in 2021, there remains a glaring absence of legislation to protect chinchillas, foxes, and raccoon dogs—the most commonly farmed fur-bearing animals in Canada. As the now-empty mink fur farms consider transitioning to other species, we cannot afford to wait. Our Ministry of Agriculture must act swiftly, without hesitation.

This is a pressing issue that demands our immediate attention.
