Some of the conversations we held were: up-dates on: Rushmoor Borough Council’s access information being placed on web pages, feedback from our input into website testing for TalkPlus and NHUC, Transport up-date including pavement parking legislation progress and the Disabled Rail Card Criteria. Information about Waymo Taxi’s and other Driverless Taxi’s coming to London this Autumn, and a very interesting presentation from CAB about scams and on-line safety.

RAAG held its quarterly meeting on Monday 15 September. We had a presentation from Frimley Park Hospital Trust where we learned about what patients with ‘lived experience’ disability should expect for person-centred support, and the work with Equality working Groups inside the Trust. Plus a presentation about accessibility within the 111 Service and Urgent Care Facilities. RAAG will be getting involved with Accessibility audits across all services.

Up-dates were given on RAAG work with: The Lido, Princess Hall, Rushmoor Planning and Rushmoor Licencing Departments, Leisure Centre Consultation and transport issues. And we have decided on an alteration to a couple of RAAG Initials. Because of Local Government Review.

RAAG is still RAAG but we stand for: RAAG Reaching Accessibility. Awareness Group.
Of course always formerly RAAG Rushmoor Accessibility Action Group.

Our next meeting is Monday 17 November at 6pm. Both at Rushmoor Borough Council and by Teams. so please join us?!”.
