Another great inspection for the Escondido Battalion, It takes a massive effort to accomplish such a milestone.
The cadets looked sharp and demonstrated impressive knowledge of Naval traditions, coursework, and advanced training. A huge thank you to the parents for keeping records up to date and supporting your cadets. Last but not least, thank you to our adult volunteers for always going the extra mile to ensure uniforms, records, and the entire unit were inspection-ready.
Let’s beat our 2025 numbers and continue growing into an even stronger unit! ⚓️

⚓ Farewell LT Mike Beall
Three years ago, you helped rebuild a unit that desperately needed direction and solidifying policies. Overall, you steered Escondido BN into a successful Sea Cadet unit.
From being a Sea Cadet in your youth to serving as an officer in the US Navy, you brought a wealth of ideas and experiences to our cadets.
We wish you all the best in your new PCS (Permanent Change of Station). You will shine anywhere you go! We also hope you can find a new Sea Cadet unit out there to mentor.
Hooyah, LT Beall! 🇺🇸

Busy weekend of sailing and touring one of the most impressive aircraft carriers in the USN—the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.

Huge thanks to CDR Welles for taking the time to teach our cadets about aviation in the Navy. The cadets and staff are truly grateful for the opportunity to learn directly from the Air Boss.

We appreciate your time, Sir. Go Navy, Beat Army, and Fly Navy! ⚓️🇺🇸🛩️

Escondido BN is very lucky to have such amazing volunteers who can give our cadets that hands-on training and knowledge. On Saturday, our XO, who is an ER nurse, taught the BN Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC). The cadets did an amazing job. Thank you, LT Beall.
On Sunday, our newest adult volunteer, who served in the Navy for over 20 years, provided the BN with the basics of welding. Thank you, HTC Shank, for bringing your equipment and letting the cadets experience, in a safe atmosphere, how basic welding is supposed to be handled. Perhaps in the near future, we could have future welding engineers or medical professionals. The opportunities are endless; keep learning, Sea Cadets.
