City Bleed No More: Revive - A weekend that turned data into dialogue and art into action.

From opening night to our panel discussion “From Expression to Action,” Atlanta showed up, artists, citizens, students, and leaders coming together to imagine what a revived, harmonious city can look like when peace is at the center.

This isn’t the end of the story. It’s the latest chapter in HWPL Georgia’s Peach State to Peace State campaign proof that peace isn’t just a symbol, it’s a practice.

This past Saturday, HWPL Georgia and the community gathered at The Supermarket for a powerful conversation on what it truly means to revive Atlanta.

“From Expression to Action: Reviving Community Through Art”
panel discussion was moderated by Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Award-winning journalist Rose Scott (WABE 90.1’s “Closer Look”), which brought together voices from across generations and disciplines:

🎤 Kamille Gilmore KAMILLE 🎥🔥🔥📸 — District 3 Representative, DeKalb Council for the Arts
🎤 Sire Washington — Vice Chair, Fulton County Youth Commission
🎤 Ryan Adkins Ryan A. — Founder & CEO, iLLUSiONÀGE Academy

Together, they explored how art moves people from awareness to empathy and from empathy to real, tangible action. From youth-led change to what a truly “revived” Atlanta could look like 5–10 years from now, the discussion reminded us that this city’s civil rights legacy isn’t history it’s an ongoing charge.

This conversation is one chapter in HWPL Georgia’s larger Peach State to Peace State campaign, a multi-year movement turning Georgia’s civic commitments into lived, visible peace.

The exhibition may be closing, but the work continues. Join us as we carry this momentum forward through volunteering, peace education, and community advocacy.

HWPL Georgia believes lasting peace starts in the neighborhood before it reaches the nation. City Bleed No More: Revive is that belief in action — using art and storytelling to confront Atlanta’s poverty, housing loss, and disconnection, and to invite this city into the work of healing it.

This is more than an exhibition. It’s the next chapter in HWPL Georgia’s Peach State to Peace State campaign — turning proclamations and partnerships into visible change on the ground.
