Hey everyone! We are pleased to announce that Registration is NOW OPEN for the 1st Visayas Sign Language Interpreters Assembly and Learning Sessions! This will be on July 25 & 26, 2026, at 3rd Floor Conference Room, Old DepEd Bldg., Division Office of Mandaue City located at Barangay Centro, Mandaue City, Cebu.

This event is open to:
- Hearing Signers with Interpreting Experience
- Hearing Signers working with Deaf Communities (School, Church, Organization, etc.)
- Deaf Relay Interpreters
- Deaf Individuals who want to develop skills in Relay Interpreting

Registration Fee is at Php 1,500.00 per participant which covers:
- 2-day Meals (AM Snacks, Lunch, PM Snacks)
- Training Materials
- Certificate

Today is the public hearing for the Filipino Sign Language Ordinance at Cebu City Hall on May 12, 2026.

Thank you, Atty. Charisse Piramide, for the invitation. Thank you also to the representatives of the Philippine Federation of the Deaf — Mariah Agbay and board member Rodyzza — and to the Cebu Federation of the Deaf represented by Christopher Kit Amomonpon.

Special thanks as well to the Cebu City Association of the Deaf President, Via E. Capangpangan, for supporting the Filipino Sign Language Ordinance in Cebu City.

Honored to all council members and the Vice Mayor, thank you for your presence and support during the public hearing.

Thank you also to all interpreters for your important role in making communication accessible for the Deaf community. Your support and service are greatly appreciated.

We hope for continued support and advocacy for the Deaf community, including more Filipino Sign Language interpreters in LGUs and better planning for accessible communication in the future.

Good morning all!

Our graduation was successful completion of BASIC LEVEL 1 FILIPINO LANGUAGE (FSL) with the theme "HANDS THAT SPEAK, HEARTS THAT LISTEN" from August 01, 2025 to March 28, 2026, at the Cebu City Hall, Cebu City, Philippines.

Thank you to the president of Cebu Federation of the Deaf Mariah Agbay for visiting our graduation and your beautiful message to all of us.

Dream big, stay humble, and never be afraid to chase the future you deserve. Believe in yourself, because you are capable of achieving more than you imagine.

Congratulations on your graduation. May this be the start of many great opportunities and accomplishments.

We are proud all of you that you never give up on learning a lots. Hopefully, you will be willing to interpreting for the Deaf community in the future. Still keep it up and Have a beautiful day!

Thank you to the president of PFD (Philippines Philippine Federation of the Deaf and Cebu Federation of the Deaf (CFD) for being guest and lecturing about Filipino Sign Language (FSL) and Deaf Awareness at Cebu City Hall.

We CCAD were very happy to see all the participants to came and also thank you for coming!

The FSL class will start on August 16, 2025 (Saturday). See you! 🙏🤟

Hello Hearing Participant,

We are pleased to announce the upcoming Class FSL Sign Language workshop on August 9, 2025, at the Cebu City Social Hall (4th floor) from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

The enrollment fee is P1,000 for a good 20-day enrollment. To register, please walk in with the Form Name.

The first workshop will focus on Deaf culture and Deaf awareness, with the assistance of an interpreter.

We encourage you to join us for this valuable opportunity to learn sign language.
