OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING SPECIAL AWARDS
As we officially introduce this year’s candidates, we would also like to clarify the guidelines concerning the special awards for Binibini, Ginoo, at Hiyas ng Siklaban 2026.
SOCIAL MEDIA AWARD
The Social Media Award will not be given this year, and no social media voting will be conducted for the competition.
PHOTOGENIC AWARD
The Photogenic Award will be given as a separate special award.
Please note that the Photogenic Award will NOT form part of the candidates’ overall score and will not contribute to the determination of the overall winners.
These changes were decided upon by the Tournament Manager and Artistic Director during their meeting with the SAS Dean and College Administrator and were finalized during the meeting held on September 17, 2026, at the College Administrator’s Office.
For transparency, the Sidlakanan Student Publication Adviser did not make this decision. The Sidlakanan Student Publication is only implementing the changes and directives agreed upon during the said meeting.
WHO WILL JUDGE THE PHOTOGENIC AWARD?
To ensure fairness, objectivity, and impartiality, the Photogenic Award will be evaluated by judges from the Print and Frame Sponsor, together with national and international awardees in the field of photography.
The judges will be non-related to and non-connected with the Sidlakanan Student Publication. This arrangement is intended to maintain an independent and objective selection process for the Photogenic Awardees.
The prize will be a frame of their best pose from the photoshoot, sponsored by F8 Photo Camera Shop and Framing Services.
