That's a wrap!

The final LETHE consortium meeting has come to an end.

We have had a very busy and enriching couple of days in Düsseldorf, Germany, planning the final activities in the LETHE project.

Most importantly, it was a chance for the consortium to review the results and discuss how the outputs from the project can be used in future research initiatives in the field of dementia research.

The final publications from the project will be published soon...watch this space!

COG LAB – 1st Edition: The Role of Neuropsychological Assessment in the Diagnosis of Neurocognitive Disorders"
Perugia, May 16–17, 2025

Directed by Prof. Mecocci, the first COG LAB brought together geriatrics residents from across Italy to explore the role of neuropsychological assessment in diagnosing neurocognitive disorders.

A central focus was the LETHE Neuropsychological Test Battery (NTB) — a standardized tool for cognitive assessment across Europe. The workshop included a detailed explanation and hands-on simulation of NTB administration, helping participants bridge theory and practice.

Participants were also actively involved in interactive role-playing sessions, simulating real-world diagnostic scenarios to practice the application and interpretation of neuropsychological tests. This immersive, practical format enhanced clinical reasoning and diagnostic confidence in a collaborative setting.

COG LAB 2025 was an enriching and highly participatory experience, blending scientific depth with practical training — a valuable step forward for the next generation of geriatric specialists.

🎯 BHelp Personalizes Your Learning Experience

Not all users have the same interests when it comes to brain health. Some may want to focus on exercise and cognitive function, while others may be interested in nutrition, mental well-being, or stress management.

That’s why BHelp tailors the experience to each user. When signing up, users can select topics they are most interested in, such as:
✔ Physical activity and its effects on cognition
✔ The role of nutrition in brain health
✔ How stress and sleep affect cognitive function

Based on these preferences, BHelp prioritizes relevant content, ensuring that users receive scientifically sound information aligned with their interests.

This makes learning about brain health more efficient, engaging, and relevant to daily life.

🧠 Introducing BHelp – The Brain Health Literacy Portal

📚The Brain Health Literacy Portal (BHelp) is a new digital platform developed as part of the EU-funded LETHE Project. Its goal is to improve brain health literacy by making scientifically validated information accessible and easy to understand.

Why is this important?
✔ Brain health is influenced by lifestyle choices such as physical activity, diet, sleep, and stress management.
✔ Access to accurate, science-based information is crucial for making informed decisions.
✔ BHelp gathers knowledge from experts across Europe and presents it in an intuitive and engaging format.

Through videos, articles, infographics, and podcasts, users can explore brain health topics that matter to them in one reliable place.
