This year, 100% of participating Cocoa High seniors completed at least one postsecondary milestone, and nine students received $500 Cocoa Champions scholarships to support their next steps.

Happy first day of school, Brevard! 🎒📚

Wishing our students, families, educators, and school partners a safe, successful, and inspiring year. Elevate Brevard is excited to continue helping students build pathways to graduation, education, and meaningful careers.

Let’s make it a great year! 🎓

This week, I had the opportunity to attend Accelerate Brevard’s State of the Schools, featuring Dr. Mark Rendell, Superintendent of Brevard Public Schools; Dr. Phil Simpson of Eastern Florida State College; and special guest Congressman Mike Haridopolos.

Brevard County has so much to be proud of, and Elevate Brevard is excited to play a role through our Champions programs at Cocoa and Rockledge high schools!

I left feeling energized and headed straight to the BPS District Office to complete my fingerprinting for the upcoming school year. The entire process took less than 20 minutes—including the walk back to my car!

Champions mentors: Are your fingerprints up to date? Now is the time to visit BPS and complete your fingerprinting. It can take approximately two weeks to process, so don’t wait until the school year gets underway.

We’re looking forward to another great year of showing up for students! 🎓🙌

🎓 Congratulations to our 2026 Cocoa Champions Scholarship recipients! 💙

We are so proud to celebrate this inspiring group of Cocoa High seniors as they take their next steps after graduation. One of the things we love most about Cocoa Champions is that success looks different for every student—and this year’s recipients represent both college and career pathways.

This year’s scholarship recipients are headed to:

👩🏾‍🍳 Culinary School
🐾 Florida Gulf Coast University – Biology (Veterinary track)
🩺 Keiser University – Diagnostic Medical Sonography
📊 Arizona State University – Accounting
📚 Eastern Florida State College
⚡ Brevard Electrical Apprenticeship
🎓 Bethune-Cookman University – Criminal Justice

A huge thank you to The Hero Fund, Suntree United Methodist Church, and Keller Williams Realty Brevard for investing in these students—and to our scholarship committee for reviewing more than 50 applications with such care.

We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for each of these students. Your community is cheering you on every step of the way! ✨
