GREEN HYDROGEN MASTER CLASS | As Namibia looks at furthering the development of production capacity, there are many opportunities to learn about different elements and it’s application in our day to day lives. Namibia sits on economic transformation and it is crucial to ensure that our citizens are brought along on this journey.

In collaboration with Hanns Seidel Foundation, the Namibia Green Hydrogen Research Institute and the University of Namibia (UNAM), the Board will be hosting the inaugural Green Hydrogen Master Class.

This event specifically targets engineering and science graduates, engineering companies and related support service sectors. The general public will only be allowed to attend virtually.

HYDRO FUTURE ... Presidential economic adviser James Mnyupe this morning announced the four recipients of N$500 million earmarked for green hydrogen projects. These flow across the agriculture, logistics and refuelling sectors. The Namibia Private Sector Green Hydrogen Taskforce was also established, which calls on the private sector to get involved in determining which products and services they could participate in, alongside the green hydrogen value chain. Zivayi Chiguvare, the chairperson of the taskforce, said all companies, from big to small, are welcome.

Towards a Green Hydrogen Hub in Africa!

The Economic Association of Namibia in collaboration with the NIPDB and Hanns Seidel Foundation Southern Africa (Namibia) will be hosting the Namibia Green Hydrogen Conference 2022 as from 16-17 August 2022.

The conference aims to provide a forum for national and international players to discuss and unpack Namibia's ambition for a multibillion-dollar green hydrogen sector, while also showcasing Namibia as Africa's preferred investment location destination.
