Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. ✨

Alhamdulillah, by the mercy and permission of Allah SWT, we are now at the beginning of the month of Zulkaedah, one of the four sacred months honoured in Islam.

In conjunction with the first Friday of Zulkaedah, let us reflect upon the words of Rasulullah ﷺ:

“Time has completed its cycle and has come to the state of the day when Allah created the heavens and the earth. The year consists of twelve months of which four are inviolable; three of them consecutive - Dhul-Qa’dah, Dhul-Hijjah and Muharram and Rajab,
(Narrated by al-Bukhari)

During these sacred months,
➡️ sins committed carry greater consequences
➡️ righteous deeds are rewarded with greater rewards

Therefore, let us take this blessed opportunity especially on this noble Friday to increase our good deeds, such as:

✨ Increasing remembrance of Allah (dhikr), supplication (du‘a), and seeking forgiveness (istighfar)
✨ Observing voluntary fasting, such as on Mondays and Thursdays
✨ Reviving the night with qiyamullail
✨ Giving charity and performing acts of kindness
✨ Striving to avoid sins and unbeneficial matters

May this first Friday of Zulkaedah be a meaningful beginning for us to improve ourselves and draw closer to Allah SWT.

Mid-semester break is finally here — a time not just to rest, but to reset and recharge. After weeks of pushing through assignments and classes, this is your chance to take a step back, breathe, and regain your energy.

Use this break wisely: rest your body, clear your mind, and take small steps to reconnect with Allah. Growth doesn’t always come from doing more, but from pausing with intention.
