Congratulations to our long term member Ruut DeMeo!

Ruut has started her year as Finlandia Foundation's Performer of the Year and we will have an opportunity to hear her music in May.

Join us for an intimate night of music and conversation with Ruut at the Loft at Manor Mill in Monkton, Maryland on May 21. The Loft offers a setting made for close, attentive listening where Ruut will share some longtime favorites alongside with new songs from her upcoming album, Motherland. This will be an evening you won't want to miss!

Dear Baltimore Finns and friends of Finland,

Baltimore Finlandia Foundation’s spring traditions celebration will be held in Monkton on Saturday, May 3, at 2 pm. Please RSVP by April 26 by email ([email protected]).

You will also have an option to pick up your own order of fresh munkki (Finnish donuts), korvapuusti (Finnish cinnamon rolls), voisilmäpulla (buns) and pullapitko (braided sweet bread) at the event. Submit your order to Sirpa by 4/26. For more information and to order, call 703-395-6797 or email her at [email protected].

You and friends of your family are all warmly welcome. Please feel free to bring your friends or friends of your children. We will enjoy sima and munkki, some of us might wear a ylioppilaslakki, and the children can participate in traditional Easter crafts!

Finlandia Foundation Baltimore’s Christmas celebration will be TOMORROW, on Saturday, December 7 at 3pm in Divinity Lutheran Church on 1220 Providence Road in Towson. We look forward to celebrating with you.

The celebration will include a short Christmas service and singing of traditional Christmas favorites, declaration of Christmas peace, business meeting, dinner, and visit by joulupukki. We shall also mark the club’s 50th anniversary.

ARRIVAL: The program begins at 3pm. Please plan to arrive between 2:30 and 2:45 pm to drop off the food, greet old and new friends, and settle in.

· FOOD: The dinner is potluck style and includes some of the traditional Christmas favorites. Here is the sign up for food:
