National Prevention Week is a time to recognize the importance of supporting healthy communities, positive coping skills, and youth well-being.
Prevention starts with connection. Primary prevention focuses on supporting young people early by helping build healthy coping skills, strong support systems, and environments where youth feel safe, valued, heard, and connected. Small moments of encouragement, inclusion, and support can make a meaningful difference over time.
Prevention can look like creating welcoming spaces, having open conversations, building trusted relationships, and making sure youth know they do not have to navigate challenges alone. Supporting youth well-being starts with community, connection, and care.
Monster Soup Society is a youth-led coalition focused on prevention, youth leadership, and creating supportive spaces where young people feel connected and empowered.
