For anyone who lives a little closer to Hattiesburg, our sister campus's business organizations will be holding a cookout lunch this Thursday! See details below...

"The Southern Miss Business Welcome Back Cookout is taking place this Thursday, August 26th from 11-1. If you are a business student, plan to come by, grab some lunch, and have some fun! There will be hamburgers, hotdogs, ice cream, popcorn, and many fun games. There will even be a dunking booth with some of your favorite professors in it! We can't wait to see you there!!"

Accounting students, you have likely received several emails encouraging your attendance at Meet the Firms. This annual event is a spectacular opportunity to learn about the career opportunities available to you with your degree--or even secure an internship--but it's also highly competitive! Firm representatives want to see eager, knowledgeable students with polished resumes, professional attire, and personable attitudes. Please don't wait until the day of the event to update your resume! Mary Maner with Gulf Park Career Services has extended an offer to critique resumes either by email or at an in-person session on August 25th. See the attached flyer for details!

The Gulf Park Career Closet is also open for business this semester! Any USM student can make an appointment to select a full professional outfit once per semester--completely free of charge! The Career Closet is located on the second floor of Hardy Hall. Please take advantage of this excellent opportunity and contact Mrs. Maner at [email protected] to make your appointment. What a fantastic Awards Day on the Gulf Park campus! The Accounting Society is honored to have been chosen as the 2020-2021 Outstanding Student Organization. Thank you to all the students, faculty, and staff who helped us to begin realizing our goal of providing professional and academic support to our Business Eagles.

We would also like to congratulate the following students within the Gulf Park College of Business and Economic Development for receiving recognition at the ceremony:
