It has been 14 months since 17-year-old John Santana disappeared, and we need your help to bring him home.

John was 16 when he went missing from his home in Austin, Texas, on July 3, 2025. Authorities believe he may be in the Kyle, Texas, area.

BREAKING: JAMES ELMORE FOUND GUILTY IN 1984 DEATH OF LAURA MILLER

After more than four decades, a Galveston County jury has reached a verdict in the case surrounding the 1984 death of League City teenager Laura Miller.

James Elmore was found guilty Wednesday of manslaughter in the 1984 death of 16-year-old Laura Miller. Elmore also faces two felony evidence-tampering charges connected to Laura Miller and Audrey Cook, along with two separate felony charges involving possession of illegal sexual material. Those additional charges are not part of today’s conviction.

Laura was only 16 years old when she disappeared from her League City home in September 1984. Her remains were discovered nearly two years later in the area known as the Texas Killing Fields.

During the trial, Laura’s father, Tim Miller, delivered emotional testimony about his daughter and the decades-long search for answers. Miller also testified about his interactions with Elmore and the information Elmore provided about what happened to Laura.

The prosecution argued that Elmore recklessly provided the drugs involved in Laura’s death. The defense disputed the allegations and argued that Elmore’s account was not reliable.

Today’s verdict brings a measure of accountability in a case that has remained unresolved for more than 40 years.

Sentencing is expected Thursday.

Laura’s story is a reminder that behind every cold case is a family that never stopped waiting for answers.
